What is Santa’s Journey?

Santa’s Journey is a magical Christmas event taking place at Djouce Golf Club, Roundwood Co. Wicklow. The journey begins with a 10-minute train journey with lots for the children to see along the way. Children will enjoy an audience with Mrs. Claus and a personal meeting with Santa Claus. All Children will receive a complimentary gift from Santa Claus and photographs will be available for purchase online.

What do I do on arrival?

Once you have parked in the car park please follow the signs to the check-in area where our elves will direct you to the start of your journey. Guests should arrive at least 15 mins ahead of time as missed train departures will not be transferable or refundable due to capacity on trains.

Lost or Forgot your tickets?

If you have any issues with printing your ticket, please arrive a little earlier and we will do our best to locate your tickets on the system. Please ensure you have battery on your phone if you intend to check in using an online ticket.

How much do the tickets cost?

Adult Tickets: €12.50

Child Tickets: 1– 12 years €18.00.

Baby- 0- 12 months - €5

Please note - Babies are required to have a ticket in order- to comply with Fire safety & health and safety. Babies will receive a present from Santa also!

Prices above exclude a €1.50 surcharge per ticket.

What do I do when I arrive?

Your start time will be stated on your ticket. Please ensure you arrive 15 minutes before your start time to check in at the Winter Wonderland Station.

Please allow sufficient time for unforeseen delays (e.g. weather, traffic etc.)

N.B. IF YOU MISS YOUR TRAIN TIME WE CANNOT GUARANTEE THAT YOU WILL BE FACILITATED AT A LATER TIME. ALL SESSIONS MAY BE FULL AND PLACES ARE VERY LIMITED SO WE CANNOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DISAPPOINTMENTS CAUSED DUE TO LATE ARRIVALS.

Will Children get an individual chance to meet Santa?

All children will have an opportunity to speak to Santa individually. This year, families will enjoy an individual meeting with Santa in his grotto.

Can I take my own photos with Santa?

You will also have an opportunity to take your own pictures with Santa. We will also be happy to take a souvenir photograph which will be available for purchase towards the end of the experience. Please note the souvenir photo is not included in your ticket price. You can pre-purchase your photo with Santa at the time of booking.

How can I book my tickets?

Tickets are available to purchase online only. A credit or debit card will be required. Please note we have a live booking system and spaces available for each experience can change at any time. We will also stress that tickets will not be posted. They will be delivered by email. Please print tickets in advance and ensure you have them with you on the day. As printers can be fickle things, best to print tickets the week before so as to avoid any last-minute panicking if you have printer problems on the day!

How many can go along as one group?

There is no maximum group size, the only restriction is the number of spaces left on the train for your desired time (which will be displayed beside the time on our live booking system). Please note a maximum of four adults per child will be allowed. If a time does not have sufficient places for your group, please choose a different time. Each journey has a capacity to ensure everyone has an enjoyable experience.

PLEASE NOTE- WE CANNOT CHANGE YOUR BOOKING ONCE IT IS MADE. PLEASE ENSURE YOU BOOK WITH FRIENDS & FAMILY TOGETHER, IF YOU WISH TO BE ON THE SAME TRAIN JOURNEY AND SESSION TIME AS BOOKINGS CANNOT BE AMENDED AFTER THEY ARE CONFIRMED.

How long will Santa’s Journey last?

As you know it’s a busy time for Santa so we cannot provide you with an exact time for your visit. We suggest you plan to be at the venue for 45 mins to 1.5 hours.

What should I bring with me?

MOST IMPORTANTLY – A BUCKET OF CHRISTMAS SPIRIT AND FUN!

On a practical note, this is an indoor and outdoor event so remember to dress appropriately for Winter Wonderland weather (December in Ireland) so be sure and bring your Christmas hats, gloves and scarfs as the journey will be in part outdoors. Christmas jumpers and fancy dress are of course very welcome! Please ensure you bring a printed copy of your e-ticket to have ready for scanning before boarding the train.

What happens if there is a train breakdown, technical / operational faults, severe weather conditions or any other issues beyond our control?

Trains are mechanical things and as such faults can occur. In the unlikely event that we do have any technical issues, we will work to resolve this as soon as possible. As organizers of the event, it is our duty to ensure a smooth and enjoyable journey for all participants. In the unlikely event of technical difficulties in any area of the Christmas experience, we will work to facilitate an alternative to the planned experience and will endeavor to resume full service as soon as possible. Cancellation fees may be offered at the discretion of the management but no compensation will be available for any mishap, breakdown of service or cancellation as unavoidable by the organizers. In the event of cancellation due to weather conditions, we will do our best to move your planned journey date. We will make any announcements regarding any issues or weather-related cancellations on our Facebook page. Please like our page here to stay up to date with any news.

What to bring and wear for the Journey?

This is an outdoor event so please ensure you have sufficient warm and waterproof clothing, especially for the children.

There may be some queuing outside whilst you wait to board the train and when making your way from Santa’s Lodge back to the elves quarters in the main house.

Children’s prams and buggies will not be allowed on the train due to lack of space and for health and safety issues. As the walk from the car park to the station is very short, we would ask you to leave all the buggies in your car as there are no facilities for storage at the venue.

Is there wheelchair accessibility?

Please ensure you call ahead for any special requirements and we will be happy to provide special assistance on your arrival at Santa’s Journey.

Are pets allowed?

No, only guide dogs.

What is the cancellation policy?

Please note we have a strict No cancellation Policy so please ensure you are free to attend the event before you book your tickets. Please also note tickets are not transferable to other session times.

If the event is canceled due to factors out of our control, i.e. weather, “act of God”, or any other unforeseen reason, we will endeavor to reschedule your booking. If we are unable to do so we will offer a full refund.
